The Aqueduct District Redevelopment was a historic tax credit-based project, encompassing 180,000 SF across eight buildings along the Genesee River in Rochester, NY. The transformation aimed to revitalize the waterfront, creating a vibrant mixed-use community for Constellation Brand’s headquarters and fostering entrepreneurial and creative activities.

 

The Aqueduct District Campus will be a magnet for innovative businesses, contributing to the cultural and economic resurgence of Rochester, NY. The first phase focused on the buildings bordering Broad Street and the Genesee River, featuring unique office spaces, and a refurbished city park.

 

This project integrated the Roc the Riverway improvements, re-imagining the Genesee River waterfront. The creation of a new entrance plaza enhanced accessibility and aesthetics while the addition of a new two-level, 75-spot parking structure allowed for convenient parking facilities for occupants. A new rooftop terrace gives occupants space for relaxation and community gatherings offering panoramic views of the Genesee River and Downtown Rochester.

 

The iconic skyline, adorned with a statue of Mercury, offers historic architectural character and breathtaking views. The restoration of interior and exterior masonry preserved the historic character of the buildings and honors the city’s heritage, maintaining a sense of continuity and cultural identity.
